That's huge, isn't it?

Drinking a cup Coffee should not become a guilt trip. So we decided to do something about it.

Using a special Additive, we have made our Recyclable pods, biodegradable.

As per studies using the ASTM5511 Tests, our pods Biodegrade around 90% in just over 2 years.

And results so far show that our pods degrade in sea water too. We will update the results of this test as we progress.

Our inner pouches are made of corn starch, infused with a special Biodegradability additive that makes them degrade normally in landfills.

That's not All

Our pods are not just easily biodegradable, they are also made from Recycled plastic - with a 70% recycled plastic content.

Our BPA- free pods are made of the most widely recycled plastic in the world.

The box and inner tray are made of paper which is widely recycled. We have deliberately not laminated our boxes as lamination prevents/reduces recycling.

This choice means that occasionally the Caffè di Artisan box received by you may be slightly damp due to condensation during transport.

This issue could have been easily addressed by laminating the box, but we chose to opt for a fully recyclable box. We are sure you will agree that this minor issue is small price to pay to ensure environmentally friendly packaging. Incidentally, the box dries out really fast!

Made from the pure mountain Alkaline Water. All Natural. Zero preservatives

Caffè di Artisan's liquid luxury coffee is made from pure high alkaline mountain water and premium coffee beans.

That's it. No preservatives. None whatsoever.

No chemicals or effluents are generated as part of the production process.

The coffee grounds  generated are compostable.  Used coffee grounds are rich in Nitrogen, which is one of the three important nutrient components of an effective fertilizer.  Worms love used coffee grounds and turn them into  'black gold' for plants.

We see our role as facilitating coffee growing communities towards abundance and sustainable growing, across the several regions we source from – these regions are spread across the globe, from Ethiopia to Colombia to India. Some of our coffee beans are sourced directly from farmers and farming communities.

The Caffè di Artisan range includes Certified Fair Trade and organic coffee and we are committed to increase this proportion over time.

Cut the Power Consumption

As Caffè di Artisan's production process is artisanal, the power consumption is also kept to a minimum. The power consumption is significantly lower than what would be the case in most other packaged coffee production processes, reducing the environmental load and carbon footprint.

Plus, of course, the product is so designed that there is no additional power consumed by you either, unlike in machine made coffees.

And you may be surprised to know that a single home coffee machine uses half a million watts of power every year...so you cut your carbon footprint substantially by going machine-free.
